Being a lazy chef

Who doesn’t have a love affair with pizza? Come on, everybody loves pizza and gets excited when the answer to “what’s for dinner?” involves pizza-something! Tonight I was feeling kind of a lazy bum and I thought of this quick and simple meal for dinner. Home-made pizza … with a twist! And here goes my version of pizza bread! It’s super easy to prepare and alongside a big salad, pizza bread makes the perfect treat.

Nice, eh? It looks exactly like a real pizza except I used panini bread base instead of pizza dough. You can use focaccia as well. Just spread a thin layer of pizza sauce over it, add your favorite toppings and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.

Bake for 20 minutes and tadaaaaa!

Your pizza bread is ready! Bon appetit :)

Monkey business

Should waiters start to feel sort of threatened by the idea of a monkey stealing their job away, especially if they can be paid with soy beans and bananas?

You know what they say… if you pay peanuts you get monkeys!  :(|)

Let the drama begin

When September hit, I was so happy. It couldn’t get here fast enough, then it finally did! It’s one of my favorite months of the year mostly because I was born in September. But September has come and gone and I can’t believe October is here already! It seemed like a lifetime away when 2010 started and suddenly it struck me… Another 3 months and Christmas will be around the corner! Time flies…

Okay I know I have been neglecting my blog again. My bad! I have no excuse except for the fact that I was extremely busy with work watching Korean drama almost every night. *cough* Those dramas are addictive! Really! Once you start you can’t stop!!!

Just finished watching Baker king last week. Some scenes were quite upsetting. I laughed, I cried (a lot!), I felt like punching some people in the face… but overall the storyline was good. And I’m going to say it loud and clear : I liked the bad guy in Baker king! Hahahha yes I thought that Ma Joon was more handsome than Kim Tak Gu! Throughout the drama I had a hate love relationship with Ma Joon. He was really a spoilt brat and annoyed the hell out of me sometimes. But there were moments when he really moved me, especially near the ending. Omg and when he smiles… *_* Utterly gorgeous!

Anyway, no spoilers intended here but if you enjoy dramas you have to put Baker king on your must-watch list.

Next on my list is My girlfriend is a gumiho! So far I’ve watched the first three episodes and though the beginning was a bit cheesy, I think I’m going to like this one too. The lead actor is not that cute though. Duh -_-”

And now if you will excuse me, I’m going back to my drama! Told you I was addicted!!!

xoxo :)

Live the dream

Back when I was a little girl, I was a dreamer. But people told me I should be practical. The flames of promising dreams were always burning stronger, kindling in my soul like a smoldering fire. I saw great things in the soft daze of a summer day and in the starry sky of a long winter night. Faith replaced fear, the way sunshine replaces gloomy dark clouds. My dreams were nursed through bad days until they were brought back to light.

I believe the eye cannot see what credence promises. Dreamers dream. We feel the excitement of infinite possibilities. We see, not black and white or grey, but vivacious and sparkling colors. We see potential. We are secret keepers of hope and skies without limit. We are your friend, your family, your neighbor. We are the gaudy and pretentious man sitting at a table of a fancy restaurant. We are the filthy beggar in the street. We are the woman on the mosque steps, her body formless beneath her hijab. We are the factory worker from another land. We are the stranger smiling at you on the bus. We are in regions of war and terror, in bustling cities, in the quiet countryside… We are here and we are there.

We walk among the arson of unbelievers, letting them tear apart our body but never reaching our soul. Just like the phoenix bird that rises out of the ashes, we never surrender. We let nothing hold us back from exploring our wildest fantasies and aspirations. And even through all life’s setbacks and disappointment, we still go on because the future is ours. We are not scared. We go on because we believe in a better day. We stay true to our beliefs.

When I was a little girl, people told me to be practical. I chose to be a dreamer. I chose to be a dreamer and an achiever.

Brunch with the ladies

*yawns*
Just woke up from a 2-hour nap. I so love Sunday afternoon naps! How about you? Teeheehee (^o^)
I’m still feeling sluggish and numb from my siesta so this is going to be a quick and lazy post… about yet another food expedition!

Kit, Tine, Manju and I met up at Milky Lane for brunch today. Yes I know. My god, is she going to post food pics again??! Of course I am! And if you’re not a foodie, then move along ’cause there’s nothing for you here! So anyways.. *food porn alert* *beep beep beeeeppp*

Can’t remember what the filling was but these pancakes tasted way better than the cheese and mushroom ones!

Dessert!

My very berry sundae and the girls’ ola hot fudge.

And finally the ladies!

FFF ~ Friends, Food, Fun

Hello people! How did you spend your Sunday? I just got back from lunch with blogerettes _T|nE_ and Kit. We had dim sum at Grand Ocean in Caudan. Worthwhile? Totally! I’ve had this massive hankering for dim sum for a while now. Gosh, I’m so stuffed!

Ok I can almost hear some of you begging for pictures! So here’s where the interesting part comes in!

Sadly we didn’t get to taste the egg tarts. By the time we ordered dessert, there were no more egg tarts left! (-___-”)

Oh yeah and just so you know, we ate much more than what’s on the pics. *nia hahaha* :D
It’s just that I didn’t bother to take lotsa photos. The restaurant was packed and I noticed a few people staring while I was taking pictures of food! Me felt embarrassed!

My craving for dim sum was finally satisfied but more than that, the company of friends turned what I would consider a good dim sum lunch into a great and memorable meal. Thank you girls for making this so much fun. :)

P.S : I’m still wondering how the three of us gulped down almost five pots of Chinese tea! *gasps*

Day 30 – The end

Day 30: Who are you?

Seriously? You still haven’t figured out who I was after 29 days of this challenge????! -__________-  I suggest you read my posts as from Day 1 then!

Anyways… today is a big day because the challenge has come to an end. Finally I’m free! *uber happy* I made it till the very end! Yayyy me! :D

Day 29 – I learned

Day 29: In the past month, what have you learned?

I’ve learned that :

- honesty can solve a lot of things

- writing does actually heal the soul :)

- dreams can become a reality if you give it a chance

- twitter is more addictive than facebook. Go figure out!
