Little things that make me happy

There are so many things that make us happy, that make us smile. But then what about all those sweet little things, those seemingly unimportant and often disregarded things that bring happiness to our life?
Here’s a list of the small things that make me happy.
- Kissing my still sleeping boyfriend and seeing him in his most peaceful and innocent state as he dozes off
- New clothes and accessories
- Singing loudly
- Home baked goodies
- Waking up on a Sunday morning, thinking it’s Monday for a second and then realising that I can snuggle down for another couple of hours
- When my mom says she’s so proud of me
- Hugs from my baby boy at the end of a hard working day
- Watching the rain through my window and feeling safe at home
- A steaming bowl of wantan soup on a cold day
- Cuddling in the dark with baby boy, talking about nothing and being silly together
- Relaxing and enjoying the soothing atmosphere created by scented candles
- Snow
How about you? Is it a frothy bubble bath with a glass of wine by candlelight? Or maybe hanging out with friends? How about ice cream on a hot summer day? What are those little things that make you happy?

Rain does have that rather soothing feeling (if you’re inside that is, not stuck in the middle of a downpour!)

1. Washing my feet.
2. Eating Snickers Ice Cream bar
3. Hubby’s cuddles and caresses
4. Hugging hubby at night
5. Looking at the ocean everyday and be thankful to the Almighty
6. Talking to my parents

I agree with many of the things you mentioned, having some sweet precious moment with the person you love is the best. I might add the feeling when some yummy food is done, when you open a chocolate bar and when you download the new episode of your fav show

One of the things for me is when I’m fishing - out by the beach, with a line in the water.

Oh well, my recent fave little thing is to spend time with a small group of people whom you can really be yourself when you’re with them.
Is that the CN Tower? Trust me, snow becomes boring after a while especially after you get storm after storm. Maybe it would have been different if I snowboarded or skied. This may change. When my daugther gets a bit older, we will probably go tobogganing downhill
The things that make me happy are:
- Give Angelica her bath
- Angelica’s smile when I get home from work
- My computer keyboards
- A nice bowl of Pho noodle soup on a cold winter day
As you can see, as any new parent, the little things that make me happy are the little things Angelica does. Sometimes I wonder what it would have been like to have twin daughter or a son instead of a daugther. I guess I’ll never know. But, it does not matter.

Totally agree with you hun. It’s natural for us to concentrate on the big things in our lives but at the end of the day, it’s the little things that matter the most and that remind us not to take life for granted.

When I said that snow makes me happy, I was referring mostly to the light snowfalls. Ya know, this is usually so beautiful, like a thick white blanket covering everything. Hmm, shoveling three to four feet of snow after a storm isn’t exactly my vision of happiness! Lol

Don’t be sad. Ask your bf to take u fishing, I’m sure some of his friends go fishing. Or you should be able to arrange a fishing thing with one of the local fishermen. If not then u should book a flight here and I’ll take u. U can choose from the shortest to the tallest rod I have.

reading this made me happy for some reason
it made me realise how little things every day can make people happy, and that all we have to do is cherish them as much as we can because it can suddenly all end..
oh,
(don’t have to wait long til I’m broke again, but well..)
and it makes me happy to receive my wage!!
and it makes me happy that my cat has adapted to our lifestyle..
and it makes me happy to see my boy happy..

The warm sunshine on my skin when the weather is cold is definitely a wonderful feeling. But it’s summer in Mauritius now and it’s so hot that I don’t want to be out in the scorching sun

How did bosscat try to kill me? Long story. Basically, the lead weight and hooks on her line got cast into my direction or rather at me instead of the sea.

I thought about you yesterday on my way to work. It snowed a bit during the night before. I know what you mean. My favourite is when everything is covered with snow while the sun is shining in a blue sky devoid of any cloud. Unfortunately, blue sky means very cold temperature in winter.
As for my daughter, there are times when she drives us crazy like when she does not want to sleep. But, she brings us more joy than pain. She understands a lot but does not talk yet. She is not even saying “mama.” It’s hard to believe that she’ll be 1 year old in 9 days. Babies grow too fast. Sometimes, I want her to slow her growth down so that I can enjoy her as a baby even more

Every time you talk about Angelica, I can’t help but smile. I like the way you say those cute little things about her. Your heart is full of love for her and I can easily see she means the world to you. Keep it up. I’m sure you are a wonderful daddy.

Yes, she will turn one pretty soon. It’s amazing how time flies, especially when you have a baby. It’s been almost a year already. Last year, Sheron would have just come home from spending two weeks in a hospital in London because the pregnancy was considered a very high-risk one.
I like to believe that I’m a good dad
She does mean a lot to me. My colleagues say that I glow everytime I talk about her.
