Sunday’s food for thought

I’m listening to “I love the way you love me” and my mind is flowing to unexplored horizons. I think I’m just in a romantic mood today.
Looking back on these past few years I’ve realized that throughout our lives we search for someone to love, someone to make us complete. We dance to a song of heartbreak and hope, love and passion, all the while wondering if somewhere, somehow, someone is searching for us too.
I came across this quote earlier today and somehow I couldn’t get those words out of my head.
Someday someone might come into your life and love you the way you’ve always wanted. If your someday was yesterday, learn. If your someday is tomorrow, hope. If your someday is today, cherish.
I think that no matter what the reasons were that brought two people where they are today, they should never deny their past. The past had brought infinite blessings and lessons and had been what was meant to be at the time. It had given birth to the present, in all its beauty. What is awaiting next is still unseen and unknown. But I am more than willing to believe that the best is yet to come.
So many people look desperately for the perfect someone. But there is no perfection in life… at least not the way we think of it. For me, it’s the little things that only I know about him. It’s waking up by his side and seeing him in his most peaceful, innocent and vulnerable state. It’s knowing that I can say “I love you” everyday and laugh at the silly nothings that only he and I find so funny. It’s being able to share my deepest fears and not being scared to shed tears in front of him.
Yeah, I live for moments like these. They are the sweet little things that make him mine. I’m far from being perfect. He’s not perfect either. But it’s not about perfection. It’s finding that special something which makes it all complete…
In the end, love doesn’t make the world go round, it just makes the ride worthwhile.

p.p.s Mandarin clas was actually fun, but we’re only starting now. and the lady who teaches did say that many people run away after a few weeks. we’ll see how it goes!

I was sick with the flu a couple of months ago and I can still remember how awful it was! So, I think maybe this time I’ll pass on dessert!

Very true. Perfection is just an illusion and maybe that’s what makes us so perfectly imperfect when we are with our special people.

I think I would be among the first people to run away from class. Lol! Nah seriously, I’ve had a taste of Mandarin when I was a kid and I didn’t like it at all. I guess I was too little and I gave up very easily since the language was so complex.
Maybe if I wasn’t working I might have considered learning a foreign language. But just thinking that I would have to take classes to learn Mandarin after working hours or during weekends… I feel drained already! I am so lazy, right?
Yeah this post is all about love and … love! Hahaha, you mean little angelinas like a tiny combination of me and the boyfriend?
