Tianjin and a wedding
Oct 30th, 2011 by Angele
So like I said in my previous post, I attended my cousin’s wedding in Tianjin. It was my first time ever in that part of China and the moment I set foot in Tianjin, I fell in love with the city.
Some snapshots of Tianjin.
We stayed at the Renaissance Hotel.

Pedestrian streets nearby The Renaissance Hotel

Shopping malls – Gucci, Loewe, Swarovski crystals, Dior… @_@

I was quite impressed by the architecture in Tianjin. The city boasts an eclectic mix of 19th century western colonial architecture and striking modern buildings.

Wedding feast loaded with foods symbolizing long life and prosperity.

The bride and groom.

The bride wore the traditional white gown during the wedding ceremony but throughout the meal, she would disappear to change dresses. Overall, I think she had 5 different dresses!
Amazing city and beautiful wedding. Tianjin is definitely a place to visit!
Wow…. I didn’t know that Tianjin is such a nice city to visit! Great pictures! Congrats to your cousin

To Selba,
I didn’t know either and I was very nicely surprised
. At some point, you might even forget you’re in China because the architecture is so westernized!
We missed you Angele. Looks like a european city. I hope you had an amazing time.

Why do some brides have to change dresses through the night? I still don’t understand why. Isn’t the white dress the most important dress?
