The wedding

My cousin Francine got married on the 23rd of August. I never thought I was the kind of girl to cry get emotional at weddings but last Saturday proved me wrong. Haha! *blush* Well, I didn’t exactly cry but I certainly fought back some tears.
Francine made her way down the aisle with her father on Pachelbel canon wedding march… It was beautiful. But somehow I felt sad just watching her and my eyes went burning with tears. Honestly? I was thinking of my own wedding day… Every girl’s wish is to have her father give her away on her wedding day… But I will never experience this feeling. And watching the bride and her dad entering the church, just reminded me once again that my father will not be there to share one of my most beautiful dream someday… *sigh*
Anyway, weddings are supposed to be happy moments and let’s not get emotional again here! We’ll have plenty of time for that later! *cough cough*

It has been a long time I’ve been to a wedding. But those I went to when I was a kid are friends of my parents, not me, so I dunno if I will get emo or not. Haha.

My mother, who is a piano teacher and used to be a church organist, played Pachelbel’s Canon in G at my wedding on an organ provided by the venue. I was very happy and proud…until her sheet music started falling apart halfway through and she wound up trying to play and catch the music at the same time…doing neither very well! (I almost wish I had a video of that. Almost…)

Did your mom’s little incident made you even more nervous than you already were? ‘Cause I assume you were quite tensed on your wedding day, right? That’s what I’ve heard anyway! The bride and groom are always very nervous on their big day!
